Calyrex Forms

This is even not a distinct character unto itself, it's just one character riding on top of another character.

That's not exactly true. In the games, Ice Rider and Shadow Rider are considered alternate forms of Calyrex. Mechanically, they function like a single Pokémon (which is reflected in their ability, "As One").

Does post #5066377 or post #4358700 count as Calyrex (Ice Rider)?

post #5066377 does count in my opinion. Calyrex has a cape, and Glastrier has reins, both of which they lack when not combined as Ice Rider Calyrex. post #4358700 does not count; it's just regular Calyrex, Spectrier, and Glastrier.

If they appear different, then Galastrier and Spectrier should also have alternate form tags for their Ice Rider and Shadow Rider appearances.

As far as I can tell Calyrex changes his design for the rider forms, but the two horses just get reins. I almost want to suggest a Calyrex_(rider) to encompass his transformation but I haven't played SV and so can't speak from a place of confidence, just one from looking at the official designs. As you can see he has the same design for both "Riders" and it is different from the base-Pokemon.

Should they, though? Official media refers to the forms as "Ice Rider Calyrex" and "Shadow Rider Calyrex." They are not considered forms of Glastrier and Spectrier. Maybe we could keep the calyrex_(ice_rider) and calyrex_(shadow_rider) tags, but only have them imply Calyrex, and not Glastrier and Spectrier? That'd be much simpler, and it'd keep things consistent with how other alternate Pokémon forms are tagged.
