And then these images are all from an artist that had over 40 accepted images and only one deletion, until every single one of these failed to make it past the upload queue, again due to disinterest. Any ideas as to why? (All NSFW)

35 of the 41 active posts for artist #228840 were uploaded by contributors and never went through the modqueue. Also (without me examining the individual posts in question, just in general) an artist can have decent SFW artworks but miss the mark for r18 content.

Hi, i will really appreciate some feedback on why post #8736211 (only seen by 6 approvers) wasn't approved.
I think it's has a good quality, and if there's something wrong about it that i don't see it, please tell me, or else i may end up with a lot of deleted uploads, because of art that I think is good and doesn't meet the taste of the approvers, and I'd rather gave up uploading.

I'm all too aware of the contributor/general user double standard. Some of my first attempts to contribute to Danbooru were uploading a slew of images for the "Mama Lane" Azur Lane pool, of which only a single image made it through the modqueue. It's just disheartening to know that, by working hard to find images in some very contributor-dominated fandoms and upload them myself, the only thing I seem to be accomplishing is ensuring that these images get deleted. I'd feel better if it was due to "low quality" or "these images suck", but just "disinterest" makes me wonder if I should even have bothered. It's especially frustrating when it's part of a set of images, where the ones put up by contributors are all on the site, but the ones I've tried to upload have never made it through the queue.

Regarding the specific artist, an image similar to two of those you quoted was one of the rare ones approved four months ago, but I've also seen where someone has flagged an image I had uploaded that had just been approved as well as the entire front page of that artist and gotten them all deleted, so who knows.

It’s not a double standard. Contributors can skip the modqueue because they have proven they can upload good art consistently. This does mean the occasional bad art can slip through, but that’s why the flagging system exists.

Don’t worry too much about the word “disinterest.”. It just a boilerplate message that means the Approvers didn’t have anything to say. Approvers have a high workload and can’t be expected to give a reason for every image they look at. Some might not even be able to explain what they don’t like about it in words.
