Any reasons for being against this? Otherwise I'm going forward with it. The meaning of x mouth is more obvious, it's more consistent with other tags like x navel and x anus, and it avoids people making needless variants like ;x, ^x^, or >x<.

I just like the emote tags.

I also like the emote tags, I think they're fun. I agree with not wanting to create new ones, but as far as I can tell there's only been one pointless variant made for it in the past thirteen years, so I don't think that's a prevalent problem. x_mouth is a good alias since it's consistent with x_navel and x_anus, but :x supersedes it by being an older tag that is more widely used and is more consistent with :d :o :3 and others. Also, frankly, I just like it better. Personal taste.

I hate pointless emoticon tags. The fewer we have of them, the better.
