"Get Danbooru Gold" button doesn't work.

At first I thought this was a bit ridiculous, but after a while I realized its kind of like a game, then it became fun.

I've said this repeatedly in the thread. I don't have the free time these days to provide free labour so maybe I can get a status to make the API usable. All I've got to offer is money. I would not mind forking over well above the asking price for a gold or platinum account, paying through bitcoin cash, or paying a recurring subscription for status.

Instead I'm using Gelbooru's API and sent some money their way. Their API and the curation is appreciably worst but I can work it to do what I want.

If no change is expected, please close the thread and tell people in https://danbooru.donmai.us/upgrade that the only ways to get status is either through contributions or raffles. The last 2 pages of this thread feel like Redditor power users piling on top of each other to tell you that yes, contributing is so fun, upvotes on the left.

I mean, to be fair, the gold button has been feeling sick for the last 2 years, hence why its not there anymore

If you want to enable the gold button all you have to do is enact serious policy change in various multinational financial companies

Cryptocurrency is kind of a joke, and all the cryptobros pushing it don't really help it.

Danbooru can't get the gold button working again for the same reason there was OnlyFans' brief attempt to get rid of adult content on the platform for the same reason tumblr enacted their adult content ban for the same reason so many adult-oriented websites that could probably function Just Fine off of donations from fans instead has to resort to running the Hot Single Moms In Your Area advertisements instead.
