create alias hoshino_ruby_dance -> doodle_dance
doodle_dance exists and has a wiki page, but no posts are tagged with it and it has no connection to hoshino_ruby_dance.
"Doodle Dance" is also the correct name for the trend according to Know Your Meme.
doodle_dance was created way later. The current name reflects the origins of it being, well, Ruby danciong, and even the KYM page you linked recognizes this at the literal start of the article. It is widely known as "doodle dance" though, so I think it's a valid utility alias, but I don't see why the origins should be removed from the name like this.

That is why I think we should alias hoshino_ruby_dance to doodle_dance, hoshino_ruby_dance wouldn't be gone and the main tag would be in accordance with KYM. I also believe hoshino_ruby_dance to be ambiguous anyway, since hoshino_ruby is an idol and thus has more than one dance apart from the one that became a meme.

It's a specific dance connected to her, since that's where it originated, and as far as I'm aware there's no other ones withe same level of popularity. If anything, doodle_dance is ambiguous because then we're changing it from a specific character to the concept of doodles.
Regarding the name "doodle", it's the name of the song that's usually used with this template.

The KYM article is at the moment still just a submission that is under evaluation, it's hardly set in stone.
My preference is also to stick to the origins here. just like how we haven't renamed me!me!me! dance (meme) into something silly like zero two hip sway even though the latter is probably more popular.
i don't care either way what the tag ends up being, but for me!me!me!'s dance routine, the original was not zero-two but a blue-haired girl meme (me!me!me!). here the original *is* the character we currently tag the dance with
me!me!me! is also not comparable as the song associated with its dance never changed, while for doodle/hoshino ruby's dance, the original song was pop in 2

The original song of me!me!me! dance (meme) is (shocker) Me!Me!Me! - Teddyloid which then changed during its second wave with the addition of Zero Two to 2 Phút Hơn - Pháo ( KAIZ Remix ) which itself is a remix of the Vianahouse version 2 Phút Hơn
Somewhat ironic that even the original version of the song is completely overshadowed by the KAIZ remix

So the song that is associated with this meme did change. It very much is a valid comparison to make.
