Putting in a separate forum thread because I imagine I'll stumble across more of these and that this might be contentious/worth discussion in some cases.

Been realizing lately that some things have the (fate) qualifier on the end even though they aren't actually ambiguous. There are some that make sense (for example, I'm not against the (Fate) qualifier at the end of something like Kiyohime (Swimsuit Lancer) (Fate) because it's functionally a costume tag), but other characters just... really don't need it. Since we already have some dequalified, like Beni-Enma and Saber Alter, I thought I'd start proposing a few other unambiguous characters to dequalify.

Starting with the servantverse saberface gang, since they all follow the same basic "Mysterious Heroine" naming schema at the beginning and you can't really use the (Fate) qualifier to help you do wildcard searches with their base tag, since the name is totally different. These were originally unqualified but gained the qualifier in forum #180068.

Qualifiers should be consistent within a franchise. If most characters in a franchise need to be qualified, they should all be qualified. Getting rid of _(fate) on a minority of characters doesn't buy us much. And it's confusing when some characters in a franchise are qualified and some aren't. When you see that in a tag list it makes it look like those characters are from a different series. We went out of our way in the past to add _(fate) qualifiers to everything because before it was really inconsistent as to which characters had qualifiers and which didn't.

If you want to be really pedantic, virtually nobody in Fate really needs a qualifier. Within the context of Danbooru, nobody is going to be confused over whether something like Nero Claudius or Abigail Williams means the Fate character or the historical figure.
