Personality info on Azur Lane character's wiki kept being deleted

@TheGamingRodent , may you please explain why you kept removing from Taihou and Akagi paragraphs and sections on their in-game characterization and personality info? (Diffs: 1 2 3 4) Most other popular AL characters pages have such section. Is there some obscure policy violations that I'm not aware of? Or are you just unhappy with how it was written? Danbooru not being MediaWiki and not having edit summary its hard to gauge your sentiment. Can you please explain your rationale? I didn't even originally write those sections I'm just very confused.

Danbooru character wikis are largely designed to help with tagging, searching, and finding related pages (such as pools). In-depth descriptions of a character's personality are typically superfluous. It's better to link to an external wiki where somebody can read more if they're interested.

Gatcha character wikis in particular tend to be overinclusive of fluff, and I therefore think TheGamingRodent was right to trim some in this case.

Wiki part about character personalities most of time shouldn't write in danbooru wiki because it's not helping with tagging and search. However, unless the personality kinda explain a bit about character and helping in tagging like for example she's yandere or she's tomboy, these part can be including in wiki, but make it not too long.

I do apologize if I was being unprofessional. I'm more of a volunteer translator/tag editor than a forum user. Although I do think for the interest of our viewers some degree of inclusion of character info would be helpful. If a whole section is unwarranted would trimming and merging into lead prose or moving to the bottom of the page be more acceptable? Blanket removals seems too excessive.

A couple of sentences about it is usually fine, especially if it helps with tagging in some way, and it should ideally be towards the bottom of the wiki. You can also make sure to include a link to the relevant Fandom/Wiki page for the people that want to read more about them (I see Akagi's wiki has it but not Taihou's).

It doesn't matter if the superfluous information is at the top or the bottom of a wiki, it's still superfluous and should be removed rather than squeezed into other existing sections of the wiki.

Given that the personality of a character can matter when it comes to out of character, charisma break, dark persona, Pool: Unexpectedly Evil , Pool: Unexpectedly Good, and probably several others, immediately wiping it under superfluous is a bit of a stretch.

Just a small sentence, maybe two, shouldn't matter too much.
