Girls' Frontline character skin implications

BUR #34272 is pending approval.

create implication nagant_(girls'_frontline_2) -> nagant_revolver_(girls'_frontline)
create implication groza_(girls'_frontline_2) -> ots-14_(girls'_frontline)
create implication cheeta_(girls'_frontline_2) -> mp7_(girls'_frontline)
create implication mosin-nagant_(girls'_frontline_2) -> mosin-nagant_(girls'_frontline)
create implication ksenia_(girls'_frontline_2) -> stechkin_(girls'_frontline)
create implication sabrina_(girls'_frontline_2) -> spas-12_(girls'_frontline)
create implication qiongjiu_(girls'_frontline_2) -> qbz-191_(girls'_frontline)
create implication tololo_(girls'_frontline_2) -> ak-alfa_(girls'_frontline)
create implication littara_(girls'_frontline_2) -> wkp_(girls'_frontline)

With the official global release of Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium, I think it's justifiable to start addind tags for returning characters with implications, due to Exilium being direct sequel of GFL1. All of those characters are returning ones with warying levels of altered/adapted designs and/or reffered by names, that are mostly different from their counterparts in Girls' Frontline (Tololo being somewhat different case, with her design being mostly unaltered, but she receives a skin in Exilium, that doesn't exist in the first game).
If it's wrong to ask for such implications in this thread, then direct me to the correct one.

You probably should've done this in your original thread back in topic #26129 - regardless, this isn't how we typically handle things for characters that reappear in new entries in the same series (and before you bring up Neural Cloud, the divergences have resulted in a distinction between those versions of the characters and the main versions akin to Saber and Saber Alter).

I don't know how to deal with Exilium names myself. Just rename the tags of GFL1 with Exilium ones, as they roll out on Global server? They are basically the logical continuation of GFL1 characters, not some different versions of them (like Neural Cloud with it's ambiguous time and place in GFL timeline).

That'd probably cause quite a bit of confusion relative to the other chartags. I'd personally just make them utility aliases for the existing tags (same with cases of returning skins with new names in GFL2, ala Suomi's swimsuit).

create implication spas-12_(strawberry_zabaglione)_(girls'_frontline) -> spas-12_(girls'_frontline)

SPAS/Sabrina's swimsuit skin in GFL2

Here's an example of something that would be impacted by the previous BUR - if we go with giving the GFL2 versions of characters their own tags, then this skin would be attributed to Sabrina (Girls' Frontline 2) (and whatever the skin's name would be on EN, because it [莓果沙巴翁] hasn't been brought over yet and no search results online suggests it's been fantranslated as 'Strawberry Zabaglione', but 'Berry Zabaione' - another example of why we typically don't make skin tags before they come to EN).

Updated

We generally don't do this because it's unnecessary. Pokémon, for example, gets along just fine with the base character tag and the individual game tag - instead of having elesa_(pokemon_bw) and elesa_(pokemon_bw2), all you need to do is search elesa_(pokemon) pokemon_bw or elesa_(pokemon) pokemon_bw2. If people want to search for the GFL2 version of a character, then they can just search for the character and girls'_frontline_2:_exilium.

The only thing like this I can think of maybe doing is for the skin tags, having them be x_(y)_(gfl2) instead of x_(y)_(gfl). But even then, it just seems wholly unnecessary.

"Strawberry Zabaglione" is just what IOPwiki (the first result I found) calls it

Huh, Google didn't show me that, apologies for suggesting that no one online called it that - though that's still a fan translation.

Then wouldn't it make more sense to alias G36 to Centaureissi (the GFL2 version) in the future? It basically is the real name of G36 from pre-GFL1 and the current time. Same with Stechkin and her current real name Ksenia. Their names are not something of a spoiler. And if there are going to be more media in Girls' Frontline franchise (new games, other media adaptations), I presume, that they'll stick with original names, like they used IDW's real name Betty in Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery.

Updated

In support of the GFL2 tag names, I've updated corresponding posts to contain the tags proposed by @sycer13. Someone can just nuke the tags if there's strong enough opposition. But one could also do as such if they wanted to update all present gfl2 posts accordingly:

update girls'_frontline_2:_exilium [gun_name]_(girls'_frontline) -> [real_name]_(girls'_frontline_2)
1 2 3 4 5 6
