Image asset previews in /uploads/{id} are not showing

I feel like this is the server malfunctioning, but I'll report it here as well anyway.
This wasn't a problem yesterday.
When previewing an image in "/uploads/{id}" the image shows a broken icon.
Opening the image in the new tab shows "503 Service Unavailable".
Refreshing the page at a certain moment works and brings back the preview, but the problem still persists with other upload assets.
And even when the image loads it does it pretty slow.

I posted this under General and forgot to switch the category to Bugs & Features, my bad.

It seems like the image server is having hiccups again. Sometimes it fixes itself after a while, other times it needs evazion's intervention, so best we can do is wait.

I made a userscript that sets the image source to the original source where the image was grabbed from.
