Creating full_composition

Posted under Tags

BUR #34410 has been rejected.

mass update favgroup:38604 -> full_composition

I had already begun adding this full_composition tag to posts, as the how to tag guide didn't mention new tags needing to be put to a vote, and didn't know about this process until recently.

My conception of the tag: It is for images where both the subject and its environment have been given similar attention by the artist, resulting in a subject which feels to be a part of and connected to the scenery surrounding it. Images with any unnatural blank space such as those with borders are also excluded.

Purpose of tag: Currently the only way to find artworks like this, is to make an elaborate and imperfect tag search such as "-simple_background -transparent_background -border scenery or loaded_interior". This already exceeds the 2 tag search limit for normal members, and eats up 5 of the 6 allowed tags even for gold users. Not to mention the fact that a search like this relies on all negated images to be properly tagged, in order to be filtered out.

Prior discussion in this thread.

If this tag ends up being rejected, would it be an option to rename/narrow it to make it acceptable? "environment_background" (or similar) would be 99% what I'm aiming for with full_composition, and would be less subjective. It would be for images which place a subject in an environment/scene.
