Periods are not used with initials in tags. For example, use Charlotte_E_Yeager, not Charlotte_E._Yeager. Aliases from the form with the period to the one without are accepted, however.

I don't normally mess with the most important pages, but since that is clearly outdated (topic #18365), I went ahead and removed that clause.
Speaking of policy, uploading commercially-published non-doujin manga is forbidden according to help:upload_rules, but that doesn't seem to apply to the covers. For example, the covers of the Spy X Family tankoubons in pool #22406 have been allowed to stay active. Should we add a clause to that item to clarify this?
Can someone fill in hair extensions? I don't really understand how that tag works in conjunction with other hair tags at the moment, and a wiki would help.
The wiki for head out of frame needs to be split into eyes out of frame, now that it's been unaliased.

Hello, I'm a newbie and found this thread that should be the good place for my post but if it's not please tell me where I should ask this.I've noticed the >:) wiki specifies mouth needs to be closed, however I found myself wanting to tag images such as https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/8495206 or https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/8480578 with it as it 'fits' the emote which should depict a smile, open mouse or not.
I'm not sure if that's just me that is seeing it or if the wiki should be edited hence the reason I'm bringing this topic.The same could be said with >:( tag with https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/8444849 as an example even if it's not as usual as the >:)The mention to open mouth should be removed in both these tags in my opinion.I also haven't found a way to create a vote on my post like in the bulk request ones, is there a way to do that to get some clear/easy-to-read feedback/opinion ?

@glousk You can go to the top of the page within the forum and click the button that says "Request alias/implication". If you do it here the voting will happen inside this thread, if you do it in the main forum page it will create a new topic.
Since it is just for probing opinions, you could format it as a meaningless template like this (so that it does not affect any tag if approved accidentally):
create alias test1 -> test2
