It is a small truck that is built to the specifications of the Japanese keijidousha light vehicle class.

I think it should better imply pickup truck instead, based on how it's physically constructed

It is a car intended for the Japanese market, which is smaller than regular cars.

To be honest, I see no practically valuable reason to have specific kei car tag. To average users, a car is a car, they tend not to pay attention to any object's exact sizes. We do not use tags that classify vehicle sizes either, but based on automobile's style and configuration.

There are kei trucks configured as box trucks and food trucks, this post #7943536 has a kei truck being configured as a food truck, which is why I want to imply to the truck tag.
