Ganguro is a substyle of gyaru.

These should be reversed right? The wiki for gyaru stats it's descended from ganguro.

Many aspects of gyaru are descended from ganguro. In some substyles, like manba (マンバ), the two overlap to a large degree.

It explicitly mentions that many parts are, not that the entire concept of gyaru is. Besides, that wouldn't make sense for our purposes since we're already using gyaru as an umbrella for all the types (which realistically is decently in-line with real-world usage).

The gyaru wiki is incorrect, ganguro evolved from the wider umbrella of gyaru, which in the 90s was dominated by kogal, with ganguro becoming popular in the 2000s.
