Gladius is a short sword

BUR #30943 has been rejected.

create implication gladius -> short_sword

The wiki stated so.

Somehow the tag short_sword itself feels like a awkward compromise between regular sword and a dagger, while short swords are generally, visually indistinguishable in context of illustrations - where artists do not always pay attention to exact proportions.[/s]

Sorry for making another request that turned up to be dumb. Thanks for proving this.

Ah, hell. I forgot to comment a negative I thought of.

Specific sword patterns, especially western ones, probably shouldn't be implicated like this, or at least be done with great care. Otherwise we'd do the same for stuff like claymore and khopesh.

Oversized weapons exist, but so do undersized ones. Khopesh is a good example. We have multiple peopleusing khopesh daggers and even a khopesh-on-a-stick as a polearm. Hell, I own a real life claymore-pattern dagger.

We have two WH40k images tagger gladius that almost seems to be an example of a gladius dagger. post #5319915 is shorter than her forearm. That's smaller than Bilbo's sting!
