BUR #30516 has been approved by @nonamethanks.
create implication ultra_sword -> sword_kirby
create implication monster_flame -> fire_kirby
create implication grand_hammer -> hammer_kirby
create implication snow_bowl -> ice_kirby
create implication flare_beam -> beam_kirby
And there are the Super Abilities from Kirby's Return to Dream Land. Implying to base form seems like the way to go here.

There’s a problem specific to Ultra Sword: the tag’s also used for when Magolor is using one.

Oh, that it is. Oops. Well, this is awkward. I didn't notice Magolor in that tag there when I made this BUR.
I did find the names of these tags kinda strange, considering we usually use "X Kirby" for them. Perhaps we can rename them to that scheme "ie Ultra Sword Kirby" and create a gentag for the ultra sword that can be used on Magolor or any other depiction of that specific sword?
Otherwise, Ultra Sword as an implication is absolutely null. And probably the others too, if we ever get posts of Magolor Soul using those moves reminiscent of the others that he does.

Apparently, we have a tag for the steampunk based designs of the Kirby cast from one of the light novels now, so I suppose we gotta implicate that.
Problem is, this tag was apparently made by some member, and is completely inaccurate to either Japanese or English title. As the light novels are Japan exclusive, we have to use the Japanese name of "Hoshi no Kirby: Mugen no Haguruma o Sagase!" for it in line with our general tagging practices. As I know there will probably be people who only know it exclusively by the unofficial English title, I figured I'd better throw in an alias for it while I'm at it. Finally, the actual damn implication I came here for.
The Kirby's Dreamy Gear tag is named after the merchandise lineup, with the English name visible on the artwork. WiKirby describes the light novel as "taking inspiration" from the merch line, which might have been why I named the tag that, though I'm not entirely sure which came first.

The Ultra Sword tag predates the Copy Ability Kirby tags, and it was previously a gen tag. I wasn't sure what to do with them, so I left the Super Abilities as gen tags.
I agree with your suggestion. Ultra Sword Kirby can appear without the sword (post #6685883), and the Ultra Sword can appear without the Copy Ability (post #4900723).
If the split happens, we should probably decide if sword variants like the fish (post #6525942) should count as the Ultra Sword gen tag. If not, then Ultra Sword could implicate sword.
Edit: For consistency, I think the other Super Abilities should also be given the "X Kirbys" name, since the abilities themselves are not characters. Gen tags won't be needed unless we actually see them without Kirby using them.

Ohhh, so that's where that name came from! I'm not very familiar with merchandise for anything really, so the idea of the tag springing from themed merchandise never crossed my mind. It immediately leapt to the light novels I know had a steampunk-themed book. If you can confirm which of the two came first, that'd be great! Although, I'm not sure which name is more recognizable off Danbooru. I think we should use whichever of the two is more recognizable. I assume the light novels, but if the merchandise line here is the case, the aliasing should probably be reversed then (if at all).

Now I'm curious to know how they got flipped to chartags to begin with.

Yep, that was the plan for if we agree to switching the names. If for no other reason than simple consistency lol. Besides, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that yeah, we gotta do something about it, as these chartags are for the copy ability costumes and not for the weaponry. Which is why we need an Ultra Sword gentag for all the reasons you mentioned. When things like post #6800345 are popping up in what is supposed to a Kirby copy ability tag, things have gone pretty wrong.
As for that fish...I'd say no, personally. It's not really as, for lack of a better word, "iconic" as the ultra sword as usually depicted is (in either RtDL or in things like Magolor's Epilogue), and I don't think people searching for the ultra sword want to see variants like the fish that can occur. It can probably be easily found with a "fish + Kirby" search.
Whether variants count or not, I'd strongly recommend getting a favgroup of ultra sword posts together, as its name is currently occupied by the copy ability name, so there's no clean way to catch all the swords in one go. Once the name is safely switched, the plan is to update that favgroup to the gentag.
(That person organizing the favgroup will probably be me, but...)
