Within the Kemono Friends community, it's a popular activity to create and share original Friend characters, referred to as orifure— ie., original Friends. It's a bit like the fakemon found in the Pokemon community, since orifure refer to a type of character before referring to individuals. I've seen that for artist's orifure, they are given the Kemono Friends and original copyright tags as well as getting unique character tags, such as bearded vulture (kemono friends) (yoshida hideyuki). My concerns are as follow:
- Searching for the copyright tag combination of original + kemono_friends yields orifure art, but gives several other results such as human Kemono Friends OCs.
- The highly specific Friend tags can be tough to find on their own, such as due to the variance with which the artist's names can be formatted or what names are chosen.
Due to the popularity and relevance of orifure within the Kemono Friends community, giving them a status distinct from general OCs— as mentioned before, I'd moreso compare them to fakemon, which themselves have a general tag— I feel an orifure general tag could be really handy for helping folks find orifure art on Danbooru. I didn't want to just go ahead and make a new tag without inquiring.
