Found a gif when going through an artist's old Twitter, but I don't really know how to download it or anything. Can anyone help?

First of all, when you are on the archived page, is the GIF actually playing?
Taking post #5551111 as an example with the archived version at
https://web.archive.org/web/20220730105844/https://twitter.com/sugapi_/status/1553334158206062592
The archived tweet only has the thumbnail saved and not the actual animation so this would be a dead end.
If it does play, then you are in good luck and just have to do some digging using F12.
This depends heavily on when the page was captured, because the interaction between the Wayback Machine and Twitter varies between acceptable to outright broken, but somewhere in the console should be a video.twimg.com
link that goes to a MP4 file.
Type CTRL+F to open a search box if you have trouble finding it.
https://video.twimg.com/tweet_video/FY6L5NCakAAGMg7.mp4
Though because you are viewing an archived version it will probably look like
https://web.archive.org/web/[CAPTUREDATE]_/https://video.twimg.com/tweet_video/FY6L5NCakAAGMg7.mp4
Try copying this link and opening it in a new tab. Does it show a video?
If so, congratulations! You can now save it to your PC and upload it manually. Don't forget to copy the commentary if applicable.
Also make sure to add the archived source tag and set the correct source in the Source field after uploading.
Ah! This is really helpful! Thank you so much!
Unfortunately, it appears the animation only has the thumbnail captured, going by the fact it will not play no matter what I do, meaning unfortunately it is not going to be possible for this one. Bummer. Even so, I think I will refer back to this guide were I to encounter another animation under similar circumstances. Thanks again!
