Although it came before MVC, XvSF belongs to the "VS" games.

Not really a fan of this one; I've never seen anyone reference any of the non-MvC Vs. series games as MvC.

Maybe adding a series implication would be better here?

Should x-men:_children_of_the_atom be added though? It's the precursor to XvSF and the gameplay is basically the same.

I wonder if tatsunoko_vs_capcom is also applicable. While not a Marvel x Capcom game, it's sharing its assets with Marvel Vs Capcom 3.

I'd say no, if only because Tatsunoko is not Marvel. So unless you want to propose a copytag for Capcom Vs. games in general (which would then also include the Capcom Vs SNK series), I don't see a reason for including it.
