[Blue Archive] Costume implications

Ars's suggestions sound pretty good.
The main reason I hesitated on those names was that I didn't remember for sure if Hoshino's final chapter flashback design was confirmed to be her "second year" look, but while creating these favgroups I found a few pieces of fanart that name it as such, so hopefully they're right about that.

Inevitably, there were a couple of edge cases -

  • post #6405051: This was drawn long before the story segment that added Combat Gear Hoshino came out. Appears to be an original hybrid of her year 1, 2 and 3 designs. The commentary suggest it's not meant to be a "past" Hoshino.
  • post #6983538: Hybrid of year 1 and 2 designs.
  • post #7800230: The ominous flash on the ponytail Kirby-Hoshino makes me think it's meant to represent Combat Gear Hoshino, but hard to be sure.
  • post #7831322: Another year 1/2 hybrid.

Edit: Changed "hoshino_(combat_gear)_(blue_archive)" to "hoshino_(armed)_(blue_archive)"

https://youtu.be/veckLfNYg0Q?t=495 This bit takes place after Nonomi's and Shiroko's entrance ceremony and start of the new year, making it Hoshino's 2nd year. The only problem I can see the down line if we go with (second_year) is that we get a flashback to her actual 2nd year of school and she's wearing a totally different outfit but we'll just have to cross that bridge should it ever happen.

comment #2426290 suggests translating 臨戦 as "battle-ready", should we call the tag hoshino_(battle-ready)_(blue_archive)?
I did have the thought that "combat gear" is ambiguous with her first year form (and "battle-ready" might be too, but hopefully the odd turn of phrase will encourage people to actually look at the wikis that I'll write if my BUR goes through.)

In either case we'll probably have to update the tag name when the alt hits global and gets an official translation.

What about hoshino_(armed)_(blue_archive)? And speaking about that tag, some works already were being added into it.

Wiki updated, though I'm open to suggestions for improvement.

If anyone knows where to find clean portrait art from the game itself of the different designs, those would make for better images than the current fanart (and the messy official promo for Hoshino (Armed.))

I went ahead and (accidentally) made the character tag for hoshino_(first_year)_(blue_archive) in post #7931321. I thought there'd be other posts tagged with it already.

If BUR #28917 doesn't go through then, I'll post a cleanup BUR with aliases in the opposite direction for hoshino_(first_year)_(blue_archive) and hoshino_(second_year)_(blue_archive). They might be worthwhile utility aliases tbh.

Sorry for the confusion, I wasn't sure how to write the wiki page NNT requested for hoshino_(young)_(blue_archive) without replacing the current one.

Now let's imply the new tags.
I wrote wikis for all of them and updated the related wikis.
I also moved every post I could view out of hoshino (young) (blue archive), but there's a single banned post so I'd appreciate an admin's help with that.
