I started with the girls because they have the most alternate costumes, I also didn't make chartags for costumes that are mostly just for a single game and are the only costume from that game, like the Riders costumes or their outfits from MoStH for now (although Riders is a series so maybe it should have chartags)

Otherwise, these are various alt costumes from Channel artwork along with games like Sonic Speed Simulator, Sonic Forces: Speed Battle, other miscellaneous games with collectible costumes.

Should mostly be comprehensive but I might have missed a couple.

On a related note, the Sonic Adventure 2: Battle copytag seems to only exist for a costume of Rouge in that specific version, is it really needed?

I believe the three event character Chao don't actually fall into the Neutral-Dark-Hero spectrum, but the Shadow/Sonic/NiGHTS Chao do as they're just appearances that you can get in-game with certain attributes. So I'm only implying the event character Chao to the main Chao tag, but all Sonic/NiGHTS Chao are Neutral Chao and all Shadow Chao are Dark Chao.

Edit: I totally forgot the Chaos Chao. This should now be every type of Chao!

Based on the fact that some of these are implying multiple chartags, this looks bad. I'm guessing some of these should probably be gentags and not chartags.

Honestly, I think I'll just remove the chaos chao tag here because it's just an umbrella for those three tags. I wasn't totally sold on it, they all fall under Neutral/Hero/Dark anyways.

Edit: Done, I removed that, now no tags should be implying multiple chartags. Also, chao_(sonic) could maybe be general like pokemon (creature), but they're more unified than Pokemon and are often portrayed by generic individuals. There are only like 2 named chao characters that actually get any notable screentime.

I think we probably need a Sonic Riders (series) tag and a Mario & Sonic (series) tag, we don't have them at the moment which is a bit of a mess if you want to see all the posts related to those series.

Just setting up missing series tags for two spinoff series, Riders and Mario & Sonic.

I don't think Mario & Sonic should implicate either series - it wouldn't make sense to tag a picture of only Daisy as Sonic series or Amy as Mario series. Though I guess Mario vs. Donkey Kong implies both its respective series, so IDK.

On a different note, we need to figure out what we want to do with the Rouge the Bat (Sonic Riders) type tags because they were created, nuked, and then repopulated again. I don't think they're necessary since they're just going to be identical to Character + Copyright search most of the time.

I don't think that Rouge the Bat (Battle) is a good character tag for that specific outfit - the first thing that comes to mind when I see that, and what you'll find when you Google "Rouge the Bat Battle", is Rouge the Bat in Sonic Battle's art style. Regarding Riders, I'm now realizing that a better alternative to having the character tags ending in _(Sonic_Riders) is just shortening it to _(Riders). For example, the gachas just refer to Amy and Rouge in these outfits as Riders Amy and Riders Rouge (alongside the rest of the cast in their Riders costumes), and seeing as we have the comparable Lunar Blaze and Gothic Amy costumes chartagged as Blaze_the_Cat_(Lunar) and Amy_Rose_(Gothic) it makes sense to follow that formatting.

Also the Riders outfits should stay as their own tags. They appear as gacha outfits and searching for Rouge the Bat + Sonic Riders will also net you posts like these post #7029699 in which she's not wearing her Riders outfit just because a Sonic Riders character is there.

Also the SA2B copytag exists because there was content featured in that game not present in the original Dreamcast version, such as Chao Karate featured here post #7729056. It's not unheard of for ports to receive their own tag, as evidenced by the New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe tag.

I forgot they were gacha outfits too, I'm down to keep them in that case. I also like (Riders) better as you mentioned.

Eh, this one's tricky, I'm fine leaving it if people think it's necessary. While there is new content, I always just absorbed it into SA2 as a whole in my brain rather than viewing them as two separate games, but that's just me.

Do we actually need these to be umbrella tags? sonic chao and shadow chao are pretty different from the rest.
