Alias Zenless Zone Zero character full names to their first name/shortened name

BUR #28503 has been rejected.

create alias alexandrina_sebastiane -> rina_(zenless_zone_zero)
create alias luciana_de_montefio -> lucy_(zenless_zone_zero)

In the game UI, they go by a simplified form of their first name as opposed to their full name (or full first name). For a previous Mihoyo game (Genshin Impact), Jean and Barbara had their initial tag name (their full name) aliased to just their first name plus the game copyright as a qualifier.

Assuming this goes through, should the same be done for some of the other characters (ie. Anby and Nicole)?

Unlike those games though, as brought up in forum #292333, it appears ZZZ is much clearer about a character's full name and uses them a lot more frequently. For example with Anby when she is first introduced she state's her full name, she state's her full name in the her character teaser, it display's her full name in the base stats' page (which is where you'd have to go to level up your characters), and her twitter teaser also states her full name.

Other places where they display a character's full name is in places like character trials, the gacha, and the faction page in-game. In short, the game readily gives us a character's full or long name, so using the short with a qualifier isn't necessary at all with this game for most characters.

The game's official wiki also lists out their full/long names: https://wiki.hoyolab.com/pc/zzz/aggregate/8?lang=en-us

Yeah I don't think this game needs to enforce the "display name_(qualifier)" standard across the board when the characters' full names are so readily displayed in game and in promo material, this isn't the same as the obscure Genshin full names being hidden in lore entries for example.

Counterpoint:
Although they're more upfront with their full names, their nicknames are still relevant - for example, Nekomiya Mana's display name is Nekomata. When she speaks the text box calls her Nekomata. Other characters (such as the mc) refer to her as Nekomata. The trailers too.

Then why not nickname -> full name alias?
Or alternatively, it doesn't have to be a sweeping standard harshly enforced across the board either. Going with full names for most tags doesn't prevent us from the occasional exception where it's relevant, like Nekomata where a nekomiya_mana -> nekomata alias might be more relevant than the reverse.

Again, the full name is in full display on the character base stats page, which is a mandatory page for players unless they never want to level their characters. It's also displayed in the gacha. It is displayed in her Twitter character announcement with the hashtag #NekomiyaMana. Lastly it's also fully displayed in the trailer. So choosing the short/nickname as the main tag is questionable, especially when it forces a qualifier, when their full name is so readily available.

In regards to the OP characters:

Rina's full name is officially displayed: Base stats page, Gacha pull, Twitter character intro, Character trailer, Hoyo's ZZZero Wiki

Lucy's full name is officially displayed: Base stats page, Gacha pull, Hoyo's ZZZero Wiki

I think nickname utility aliases would be useful, though it only really benefits three characters, currently. Nekomata -> Nekomiya; Rina -> Alexandrina; and Lucy -> Luciana. The rest just use their first names, so it would be mostly redundant.

BUR #28631 has been approved by @nonamethanks.

create alias rina_(zenless_zone_zero) -> alexandrina_sebastiane
create alias lucy_(zenless_zone_zero) -> luciana_de_montefio
create alias nekomata_(zenless_zone_zero) -> nekomiya_mana

Alternative, nicknames to full names.

Using the full game name for the qualifier for ease of recognition, but recommend using ZZZero for primary tags that need a qualifier as suggested by Login to view. The official hashtag for the series on twitter is #zzzero, so this would match their official shortening of the series.

I think I remember that the full name is "Luciana Auxesis Theodoro de Montefio"

Good point.

Then why not nickname -> full name alias?

My main gripe with this is that it would require someone to constantly add utility aliases at each character update. It's harder to enforce than just using the nicknames in the first place, and I've seen many times where it is not done.

+1 for what it's worth

I'd rather not have arbitrary inconsistency between qualifiers. Just go with ZZZero for both ends of the aliases.

I'm fine with this.

That appears to be correct based on at least one of their twitter posts, though they just use the shorter Luciana de Montefio two days later and in-game her Base stats page and Gacha pull only use Luciana de Montefio.

We definitely don't need to use that one. It's Genshin levels of obscure.
