Personally I think it's been more than long enough, and at least in terms of tagging I think it's important since incest is a tag that some wish to avoid via blacklisting. If I had to guess it's probably one of the more blacklisted tags.
Unless someone has a good reason not to, I'd say it'd be a good idea (along with the spoilers tag so those that really feel sensitive can blacklist that). I didn't know, or I would have added it to post #7783021.

That sounds like it could work. I was curious since the tag hasn't been added to works with these characters before, and was debated in the past from what I saw. With the likes of post #2267965 - and at that time 8 years ago the mod OOZ662 said it would be too much to add a spoiler tag to each work with a spoiler related tag. Now that the game has been out for 11+ years I think the incest tag should be added to these works, I guess it's just a matter of if we should also add the spoiler tag as well?

Still haven't received a definitive answer what the cut-off time is, but a decade seems like a good starting point.

Yeah I think even 1 year could be fine, 3-5 is a good amount of time. 10 years at this point is a lot of time to have these images not tagged with the proper tag, and from what I'm seeing in your thread Nacha has similar thoughts to me, where the incest tag is an important one for blacklisting or searching depending on preference.

I should've worded that differently.
A decade is what I would consider the upper range. I.e. it's a free pass at that point so adding any tags that would reveal spoilers shouldn't be an issue.
One year sound like a good baseline to me because it would be exactly one release cycle of 4 seasons.
Updating the tagging guidelines over at help:tags to explicitly include this would have my support.

Makes sense to me, updating the guidelines sounds like a good idea as it would help clarify future tagging.
Ok, I went ahead for at least this case and added the appropriate tags (for NSFW and SFW cases). I left post #1630891 alone, as being cosplay, the relationship tag really doesn't make sense.
I agree that 10 years is more than long enough to start tagging spoilers, but I'll let others chime in before we set policy.
