Yes, but make sure you have a firm grasp on the English language so the end result is easily understandable. I'm not sure how strong yours is based only on your forum post, but so-called "Engrish" translations can be nonsensical at times and will make it less likely for a post to be properly translated. Be sure to use check translation instead of translated if you're not sure whether your translation is of high enough quality.

You should expect to make some mistakes from time to time, but as long as they're minor and you show you can learn from them, they shouldn't affect your progress too much. Bonus points if you clean up after yourself.
Be patient and don't ask the staff if you're ready for Builder status. They will promote you when they see you are able to consistently provide positive contributions. Even if you contribute several hours each day, you should still expect it to take at least a couple months. However, even if you can only contribute a little each day, you should get promoted eventually.
On this I've been wondering if my posts even qualify, might be a little dumb but I guess what I upload is in kind of a "grey" area since I can't provide direct sources to them (I mean the Blue Archive L2Ds), does that affect my chances? I really just want builder to be able to see and upload some posts that would be locked behind gold

As long as you're preserving the original image as much as possible and clearly state where you're getting them from in the source field, it shouldn't be a problem. If you look at my uploads, you'll see that 75% of them are game extracts, and that percentage was probably a bit higher when I was promoted to Contributor.

I have never felt as https://giphy.com/gifs/jzn5bBEfrjdxm (Futurama "take my money" meme) as I do about this Gold thing, especially as competitors like Sankaku completely and totally enshittify their offerings.

Yeah. I completely dropped Sankaku when they started doing that.
I don't mind putting ads on to support a website I like, but they put an overabundance of terrible ads sloppily plastered on the majority of the page.
Question about this whole “builder” topic: what if we don’t feel like we can contribute? Like, for example: what if we don’t have good artistry skills or video making skills? What about if we don’t feel like we can tag too well? What are our options then?
Not everyone is as good an artist as others, and neither are we as confident about our tagging skills or even knowing what to tag or how to tag, which means that builder status is sadly out of our reach, and thus, gold status…
You don't need to have creative skills to be able to contribute; uploading and tagging are more about having a good eye for high quality art pieces that resonate with Approvers more than they are about your own personal creative skills. Tagging especially is an ongoing game with how many tags exist on the site and debates/discussions about their use or changes (see: Bulk Update Requests).
I have zero artistry skills, have been DMailed twice about mistagging when I started and I'm now a month or two in, a lot better tagger than before (very few posts with less than 20 gentags) but still sometimes have no idea what I'm doing. It's just how it is with a site like this.
If even then you still feel like you can't contribute to the site or get into the groove of things, or rather you don't want to (e.g. don't want to associate your account with certain posts via uploads or edits), and you're patient and lucky enough, Gold and Platinum can be given out during site raffle events. Platinum is effectively Builder without elevated capabilities for "building" (modifying locked Wiki pages, pool management, recategorising tags and approving artist tag BURs under 200 posts). That can get you the levels without having to touch anything.

Is there no other way that to get the gold benefits than spending lots of time dedicated time to somehow have the luck to become a builder?
I guess i wont be getting those benefits ever, i simply have no free time to make any considerable effort into any site that would consider getting approved for a new rank unless its some automatic system that doesnt care if my effort is like 2 tags a year.
Why hasnt this site changed to another processor yet? There are lot of paypal like sites out there that arent a buggy mess like it.
You don't have to dedicate any time, just pop in every now and again - depends how soon you want lesser search restrictions.
Builder honestly isn't really about luck, most promotions are driven by statistics. I received Builder after uploading 1000 posts, others became Contributor at that many uploads but with fewer deletions than I had at 1000 uploads. Builder has also been given to tag gardeners and translators. All about doing what you can in the right way and doing a lot of that. Moderators and Admins will notice eventually.
