BUR #26371 has been rejected.
create implication holding_electric_guitar -> holding_guitar
create implication holding_electric_guitar -> electric_guitar
create implication holding_acoustic_guitar -> holding_guitar
create implication holding_acoustic_guitar -> acoustic_guitar
Differentiating between electric and acoustic guitars.
I think holding_guitar electric_guitar and holding_guitar acoustic_guitar are good enough searches. We don't do overly-specific tags like these when two-tag searches are good enough. holding_pencil mechanical_pencil is another example of this.
Also, implications of empty tags get automatically removed in a week. I'd say you should populate the tags first, but I don't think this BUR would pass anyway.
As caps said, subsets of a tag usually don't have their own tags and also you should use the holding implications topic for these: topic #23630

I often see burs for new tags on here, so is that only for when the new(or previously nuked) tag is the implied tag rather than the one getting an implication?

Holding implications isn't an "official" thread the way say, artist alias is. It's just one persons bur with a vague title that they kept making burs in and other people decided to sometimes also post in because it was semi related (myself included). I know, just saying because it's better to have it on that unofficial topic than to have bunch of them in different topics unless what you're suggesting needs its own topic.

It's not on you but that tag name should at least be holding_bass_guitar. As bass itself is ambiguous.

Yeah after making this I saw there was a bur for renaming that. Thankfully if both go through the implication will be automatically moved.

Next time before you decide to create BURs, make sure to check if the tag(s) is/are being discussed on forums or not (see the bottommost note).
