I see no value in these that aren't covered by nail_polish, sharp_fingernails, long_fingernails, ect. Seems like padding tags for human body parts a la mouth, or hands.

Used properly, for posts focusing on each of these elements, these tags might have been useful. As it stands, they've been saturated by tag padding to the point of meaninglessness.

100% agree. I feel it is very similar to eyebrows in that its a tag where there are distinguishing elements worth tagging, but the base tag is almost all padding for an element humans naturally have.

I feel there is value in having the base toenails tag as it is very common for artists, especially those who aren't fetish artists, to not draw them at all.

Im sure artists take pride in having their extra effort for tiny details ignored. /s
