Should we have an eeveelution tag?

Don't hate this, but I think you should consider filtering for pokemon_(creature) and no_humans instead so you don't end up with post #7159674 or post #5196971 you also need to consider images like post #7095401 where flareon is present, but definitely isn't an eeveelution themed image.

Yeah I was about to do that, currently getting way too many false positives for pennys goddamn eevee backpack. which, why the hell doesn't that thing have it's own tag already?

I don't think they need to be the center theme either. It's just an alternative to a common tag for new users to be able to search for them and higher ups without using a fuckload of tags.

A favgroup might be better than a mass search for this.
Edit: ah, it's just dumping random images in the pool, not what Obst suggested...

yeah I don't think anyone searching Eevee wants to see a billion images of Penny with her backpack. It's the same reason why I feel very few Drayton posts have Maschiff tagged (which is printed on his jacket). (I even asked about whether that needed a tag or not in the How to tag thread but I didn't get a response).

I don't want to get too off topic but perhaps something like creature-themed clothing (just throwing a potential name out there) is needed for specifying these.

Edit: I just noticed character backpack and character bag exists. at the least I think Penny's bag images should ideally be populated with those

That's not what was suggested at all, it's just the previous BUR as a pool.

As for this case when you add pokemon creature to the mix there is a few pics of her with eevee or one of its many evolutions and her backpack. So it's not suitable to just exclude the backpag tag from the bur. A handful with another pokemon. If the bur or anything else went through I would have cleaned those manually afterwards.

I wouldn't be surprised if the type pools are contentious with some users, though I don't really have an opinion. That said, "posts focusing on or exclusively featuring electric type pokemon" is literally impossible to search for, so I can at least see why the pools exist. Though a quick look makes me think a certain user's additions might need some scrutiny. Eeveelutions are not impossible to search for. Inconvenient, maybe, depending on what you're trying to do, but not impossible.

What you're trying to do is just stick every single picture featuring an eeveelution, regardless of how little their relevance is to the overall piece, into a tag/pool, something that is definitely already searchable without a tag or pool dedicated to it. Maybe not for Members, but we don't make tags just to satisfy members.

Well in the context of pools that makes sense. Ironically (as in NNT disagreed with the earlier bur) nonanamethankss statement about male penetrated forum #271559 is my exact thought process here.

Bringing this up again as we did actually use to have an eeveelution pool but it was deleted with the description changed to telling people to just search eevee + evolutionary line which has the issue of eevee itself needing to be present

What the BUR treats as eeveelution is any random post with one of Eevee's evolutions, which is something better suited for saved searches and favgroups. What I think when I read eeveelution is any post focused on multiple of Eevee's evolutions, which is what evolutionary line is for.

I went ahead and rejected the pool bur because it would lead to posts like post #7251099 being included when it should have been post #7163486 (Which also wouldn't have been caught by eevee + evolutionary line showing the flaws in that approach) and making it a character tag was heavily disliked but we still have no simple way to search for this very well known thing which other sites allows you to search for, which in my opinion is stupid.

One could make the argument that we don't tag regional forms but you can at least type *alolan* in the search bar and get the same results while "eevee + evelutionary line" fucks up anything where eevee itself isn't present. Wheter were talking about....

It turns out there are so many instances of "multiple eeveelutions with no eevee or other pokemon present" I was able to make it into a whole favgroup favgroup:31447.
