I think this tag needs a clearer name to distinguish it from view between legs, by having it refer to a character looking through their own legs rather than one character looking at the viewer through someone else's legs framing the image. I sometimes revisit these two tags, and always see them being incorrectly used.

Also a question on the side. Would looking_through_own_legs also imply downward dog? It would be the yoga pose being used by the character to look back at the viewer through their legs after all.

I don't think so, downward dog requires both the character to be standing and with hands on the floor, but with just a quick glance there are plenty of looking through legs posts with the kneeling/squating or hugging own legs (post #7098266) or their hands elsewhere (post #7092107) (both examples NSFW)

I see. I wasn't aware of the hands also needing to be on the floor.

I was pondering if looking_through_own_legs would at least imply leaning forward, but then I thought about contortion and the possibility that one could bend their head and back so far backward that they could look through their own legs that way. Although highly improbable and probably not physically possible in the real world due to the damage that could cause to the spine, I saw some niche posts like post #519415, post #1044529 and post #642912 (all NSFW), and post #688924 (not NSFW) that could potentially qualify as leaning back + looking_through_own_legs.

Upon further investigation, I noticed the chest stand tag which describes the above.
