BUR #20182 has been rejected.

create implication happy_anniversary -> anniversary
create implication happy_birthday -> birthday
create implication merry_christmas -> christmas
create implication happy_easter -> easter
create implication happy_halloween -> halloween
create implication happy_valentine -> valentine
create implication happy_white_day -> white_day

It's time for this vote. I can't remember the amount of times I tried to look for birthday posts only to realize it's practically useless because 90% of them are under happy birthday.

Taking happy new year out for the moment cause currently chinese new year doesn't imply new year. And someone confirm me if happy holidays can be used for holidays other than christmas.

I would say that because Happy Birthday =/= Birthday, also according to the tags' wiki pages.

You can have picture that celebrates the birthday of a character, and picture itself is just the character and the text "happy birthday". happy birthday applies because the text is in the picture, but birthday not because the picture isn't showing an actual birthday celebration/party happening, just the character and the text. The inverse applies as well, you can have a picture where characters are in a birthday party, but the text "happy birthday" is not present in the picture. Same logic apply to the others.

Same for all holidays. I would not necessarily tag halloween on every post that has 'happy halloween' as text.

Buut I think these happy_* tags are useless and should be aliased to their respective holidays instead. I would never search it blacklist happy_* anything, only the holidays themselves.

but birthday not because the picture isn't showing an actual birthday celebration/party happening

birthday party exists for that. birthday is often used whenever the image remotely relates to celebrating a character birthday, regardless of the content, including just because the commentary mentioned that it's birthday art.
For example, post #5867149 is Miku in a random outfit, but the commentary says it was drawn for her birthday and after the date.

The idea is that if the festival tags are not efficient at finding ALL posts celebrating that festival, then their existence is basically a joke. And because there's currently no implication, the Happy_* counterpart comes across as the more "important" tag and festival posts without the "happy X" clause will be untagged because no one uses the festival tags. This effects gardening as well, I can't remember the times I finished gardening birthday posts only to remember there's also happy birthday and had to start all over again.
