Where to start with this story?
Dongtan is the name of a city in South Korea, and it's one of those cities that has recently seen an influx of young couples due to the New Town development.
And what characterizes these couples is that although they are mature compared to their 20-something counterparts, their fashion code is similar, meaning that the married women with mature bodies wear bold fashions that younger women would wear. Example_nsfw.
The figure-flattering long dresses we see in dongtan lady (k pring) are a prime example of this; the outfit was not originally designed by the k pring, but rather an adaptation of an outfit called the Dongtan Style that was popular on Korean community sites.
The issue I'd like to raise today is that we're treating this outfit, or simply characters wearing long dresses that reveal cleavage, or other similar outfits, as cosplay for k pring's OC. It's weird enough to create a new tag for simply long, neutral-colored dresses that reveal cleavage, but it's even weirder to treat it as cosplay for one character as we're doing now.
