Cleaning up Ina's back (no, not like that)

Posted under Tags

BUR #19930 has been approved by @nonamethanks.

mass update ina's_back_(meme) -favgroup:26721 -> -ina's_back_(meme) -meme

A majority of the posts under ina's_back_(meme) are not memes, but just posts of her back. Some were never gardened back when the old pool was moved to a tag, while others were added merely because the commentary mentions or references the phrase "Ina's back" This causes two problems.

1. Searching for actual memes about the incident is needlessly difficult. Said memes are drowned out by regular back_focus posts.
2. Posts like post #5647155 and post #6722083 show up when searching for meme. Nothing about these posts is a meme.

Both of these problems are solved immediately by removing the non-meme posts from the tag. Users can actually search for memes about the stream moment, and random non-meme back focus posts won't show up in meme searches. As a bonus, the back focus posts are still searchable with an extremely simple ninomae_ina'nis back_focus search. As another bonus, if you really want to search for posts where the commentary mentions Ina's back, you can do that too.

Updated

I'm not a fan of the reasoning behind this, the tag may be mostly a ninomae_ina'nis back_focus search, but IMO it's still a very specific reference, it would be akin to arguing in favor of nuking the pose because they can still be found with on_stomach feet_up. If the problem is it not being really a meme, polluting the meme tag or making finding actual memes about it hard then we should maybe focus on the root issue of our usage of the *_(meme) tags.

The only reason I'm not downvoting this is because it's not an outright nuke and the rest of the posts aren't entirely unfindable.

...most fans already consider Ina's Back a meme and say if they wanted to find fanart of this meme, they can just use the this tag for it...

A character's body part cannot inherently be a meme; that's just ridiculous. If Hololive fans want to find fanart of Ina's back, again, they can just search for ninomae_ina'nis back_focus (or ninomae_ina'nis back if they're down bad). However, if said Hololive fans want to find memes that actually reference the incident itself, then they have to sift through nearly two hundred posts with no actual references in them at all. This BUR allows Hololive fans to easily do both.

I mean, I'm a fan of hololive myself and I've been around when Ina's Back became a meme within the fandom itself (heck when this meme dropped, most fanrts of Ina where just her back by then), it's the same way as to why "a" is a meme within the fandom, and as to why "feet" started becoming popular back when Gura mentioned her liking of it, everything can become a meme.

I don't see why we should actively allow a practice that makes it harder to search for something simply because enough people find it funny. There should be a better reason linking post #6015663 and post #5476093 other than "her ass is showing + from behind". What about post #5806315 vs post #5478697? One of them directly references the phenomena with her arttag and the other is just Ina in a NIKKE shooting position. It doesn't even focus on her back, no more than any other from_behind backless_outfit image.

This is a terrible mentality to bring to tagging for what I hope is an obvious reason.

For reference, this was brought up like a year and a half ago as a "pointless pool" (forum #216084) and since nobody replied I made a BUR to get rid of it and keep references to the joke that weren't just Ina from behind as a meme tag (forum #236268), but after approving that BUR evazion then added all the old posts to the meme tag anyway, so now it's in its current state. I don't really get why because now it's kind of pointless.
