I can see a few of these being a good idea where the series tag is ambiguous with the first entry, but most of these aren’t ambiguous at all. We aren’t e621, we don’t need to qualify literally every single large copyright tag.

To me and many others, this is a pretty bad idea. The reason for a series qualifier is to distinguish between things when the same name that happens to be a series. For example, kirby (series) and Kirby the character have to be distinguished.

Using the example of the legend of zelda you listed, all of the copyright tags under that series name have titles that let you know exactly what they are referring to, and there is no way anyone is confusing the character of Princess Zelda with the series name tagwise. We don't need a series qualifier when the tag implications do a perfectly good job already. The other tags you wish to alias aren't much better (and in the case of Hololive would more than likely be actively detrimental).

I get what mean and I'm also aware of these situations, but really this applies only to a handful of tags.
From the top 20 tags with the (series) qualifier only about 6 of them does it apply to what you said and from the top 100 it's only about 35 and some of these are just kamen rider shows that share the same name of the character.
This is not about copyright disambiguation. I just thought that it really doesn't change much if we added the qualifier to them and to indicate that this is the main big tag that all other related tags fall under. That's about it really.
I don't know much about hololive to know why is this a bad idea.

Because hololive is not a series. It's a group more or less.

And by extension, Nijisanji. They're both virtual youtuber companies.

Some tags have it and some don't. If I did the opposite and requested to remove the qualifier from every copyright that doesn't need it I'd still be asked about the necessity of any of it.

That's intended. Only some tags need disambiguation, so only those tags get the qualifier.
