Tag Discussion: solo

What about removing solo from charactertagcount:1 solo, then, and redefining solo as something to be used in situations (like the ones you listed) where charactertagcount is problematic?

Would solo also be used for tags with one focused character, including when people, often undetailed, are part of the image's background?

I guess that sounds reasonable, but a catch is that the more hoops (restrictions) you put on it, the less likely people will use it and in turn more often will it not be used when it should be. I don't think I'd be against it though, if such a definition was agreed upon. I'm just against outright removal.

I don't think there was a general agreement on what fully qualifies as solo, but some define it as 1 recognizable character or so. So some would tag situations like that solo.

Yes.

Could someone edit the wiki to point out what counts as Solo.
So far it's just "picture containing only one character" but it's not specific as to what is around the character, or if there are shadow people and focus on the character.

Done. I decided to keep it somewhat placeholder for now, as we're still talking about the tag's details.

Any more examples and individual posts containing content that we can discuss to what should/shouldn't count as solo would help flesh out the wiki entry.

I added "Single characters being depicted as engaged in sex acts with a faceless/nameless other." because I'm fairly certain that was discussed before too.
