They can both be used for side ponytails which are kept seperate from regular ponytails.

Why? If the ponytail is high enough, can't it stop being considered a side ponytail at all? Why overlap?
I know I was complaining in the Discord about this implication- But now suddenly I'm not sure side, regular, or high should overlap.
I began tagging high_side_ponytails today, so I'd like to know whether I should continue this or if there's room to argue this overlap.
calling side ponytail as a ponytail and applying the high/low tags to it is technically correct from an english standpoint, since they are, well, ponytails, but we keep them separate for tagging purposes. it even says so in the wiki.
side ponytail wiki:
Side ponytails should not be tagged ponytail. Ponytail specifically refers to a ponytail at the back of the head.
if we differentiate between side ponytails and traditional ones above the nape, it makes little sense to use a general tag that blankets them together. just like we have high ponytail and low ponytail, sidetails should get the same treatment and receive high/low versions. I haven't actually seen any low_side_ponytails yet, but Saratoga (Kancolle) is a great candidate for high sidetails.
