Winter / summer uniform

In my understanding of how the tags summer_uniform and winter_uniform are being used right now, they solely depict school_uniform. I.e. the search "summer_uniform -school_uniform" is almost empty apart from a number of posts lacking the school_uniform tag.

We've had a discussion on implying school_uniform to uniform in the past, topic #19890, and earlier in topic #9958 and topic #9594. This BUR was unsuccessful. The main reason this BUR was rejected was that uniform is overly broad and adding school_uniform to it would swamp out all other types of uniforms (police, café, etc). As this argument is still valid: we want to keep uniform and school_uniform segregated. In my view, this extends to further specifications of school uniforms, including their summer and winter variants.

summer_ and winter_uniform are massively undertagged, though some people are actively gardening their favorite franchise and adding the respective tags, so these tags are moving forward. With the way that the new tag suggestions work, if these tags were aliased to summer_ and winter_school_uniform, they would pop up in the suggestions and would be more readily added.

I propose that we alias winter_ and summer_uniform to winter_ and summer_school_uniform. This does prevent future specifications of e.g. summer police uniforms, but as it stands that is not what the current tag is used for at all.

There are many posts under winter/summer uniform that aren't school uniforms that need to be dealt with before aliasing, also kinda not of a fan how this excludes any uniform that isn't a school uniform with distinct summer/winter variations.

I'm late to responding to this one, but I agree with Mexiguy and LQ on this one. There at least some non-school seasonal uniforms tagged already, like with Aria.

Since it's on my mind, would it be acceptable to add spring uniform and autumn uniform tags too? It is the case for Flowers at least that there is a distinct uniform variant for all four seasons, though not sure how much (if at all) it has come up elsewhere.

My only concern is that people might use them for uniforms that look like spring or autumn clothing without official confirmation, since most uniforms are spring/autumn-friendly by default. But maybe that's a problem that summer uniform and winter uniform already have. Otherwise if there're actually four distinct sets of uniforms it sounds like something worth tagging.
