Just as the title says, you can usually just open the Imgur image in new tab and change mp4 to gif. But is it preferable to keep it original or change it?
You can just paste a link like https://i.imgur.com/Kp9TdlX.mp4 into the upload form and Danbooru will detect if the original is a GIF or not and get the correct file.
