Seeing as a greatsword is simply a bigger sword, it should implicate the latter.

Seeing as a greatsword is simply a bigger sword, it should implicate the latter.
This seems to be a recreation of the huge sword tag, which was aliased to huge weapon.

A greatsword is a common designation for any sword that cannot - or shouldn't, what with anime rules - be used with one hand. Thinking about it now, there's probably no specific reason to have both greatsword and two-handed sword both as tags.
I should probably work on weapon tags again some day...

i dont think greatsword could be aliased to two-handed sword either, as other types of heavier, two-handed swords such as the zweihander wouldn't count as "greatsword", unless i misunderstand the idea of greatsword, but it really does seem to be closer as a tag to huge weapon than to two-handed sword

Zweihanders were historically some of the absolute largest swords used on the battlefield. They and claymores are the two most prototypical greatswords there are. Greatsword generally means a sword with a two-handed grip and overall length around the height of the wielder. Our current wiki for two-handed sword is any sword (meant to be) used with two hands.
I don’t think the granularity of definitions here are valuable for tagging and that has been my stance for medieval weaponry for a long time.

My comment wasnt necessarily in defence of granularity here and more about how the greatsword results look: there's obvious overlap between this and huge weapon regardless of how the sword is wielded, while two-handed sword gives results of actual two-handed swords.
So either a big portion of greatsword results are mistags, or it's better to alias it to huge weapon despite the fact that the name suggests the other alias option
