Good question. I'm not that familiar with FF - do we use English names for other characters?
e: So I went through, and it's a mixed bag. Insofar as characters have different names, as far as I can tell, I-VI and XII use Japanese; VIII-X and XIII use English; XV has both. I should probably make a new thread for cleanup.
