That one refers to the real-life trading card game rather than the Game Boy Color adaptations of said card game.

At a glance, none of the images tagged pokemon_tcg_gb feature the actual card game except maybe post #635562 and post #3859919, which feature the original Japanese card back artwork.

OTOH the GBC games could be seen as a part of the TCG subfranchise so an implication pokemon_training_card_game_(gbc) -> pokemon_tcg could be warranted on that basis.

I think he means that if we're going to unabbreviate the gb game's tag, then it logically follows that we'd do the same with the real card game's tag, otherwise it's a double standard.

With regards to the latter suggestion, I don't like the idea of implicating the gb game to the real card game. They're two separate mediums; just being implicated to the main Pokemon tag should suffice.
