SFM/game screenshots?

Posted under General

Posts like this have been allowed for a long time, but if they don't have exceptionally high quality, they have a high likelihood of being deleted. Same situation with Koikatsu and MikuMikuDance, and likely other engines as well. That post being approved is relatively anomalous.

As well as post #5951179. I am sorry if my post bothered you. So 3D artworks which are made with such modelling software are actually borderline off-topic, especially if its copyright is not based on anime/manga despite being high quality?

Personally, I would consider post #5951221, and similar posts, to be off-topic. It's 3D of a copyright nothing to do with anime and not in an anime artstyle. Maybe some of the more liberal staff would disagree with that, but I don't view Call of Duty source filmmaker screenshots as the reason people come to Danbooru and I would not approve it.

You should have listed such type of post on borderline content on upload rules page. Meanwhile many realistic-looking high-quality artworks that barely look like typical animanga style still get free pass of immediate approval (I do appreciate that), even when it is indeed original. Such as post #5586274 as well as post #2474895. The quality of post #5951221 is still comparable, no muddy PS filters. Huge respect to the man who approved post #5951221! At the same time when approval rate in this site is getting slower than usual. For the love of God, please don't flag it.

Roger that. The same way I view explicit furry content is not the main reason people come to Danbooru, there's already another place for such. How could this get accepted (post #5956635) while it is not even based on animanga copyright? While this (post #5829669), this (post #5934489), or this (post #5860850) aren't. Sorry, I'd rather talk about it on another thread.

This wasn't immediately approved, it was uploaded by someone with unlimited upload privileges. They can bypass the moderation queue.

There's a clear eastern influence on the artstyle, and it's well drawn, even if it doesn't fit my own interests. It's also not explicit content, and was also uploaded by someone with unlimited privileges without needing approval. Well-drawn explicit furry content at least has more business being here than SFM screenshots of things like Call of Duty.

While this (post #5829669), this (post #5934489), or this (post #5860850) aren't.

The first of those doesn't feature anything anime related, and all three are middling quality.

I personally don't think that there is no such thing as well-drawn explicit furry content. Body and physical proportions are nowhere reasonable. Furry fetishism is not extremely common either. Wish approval algorithm would prefer G or S-rated as the priority over any lewd stuff.
Does not feature anime related but deleted? Have you ever wondered why so many still life images with no humans can be here? So everything is expected to have Eastern/Asian influence here?
I used to think that most Danbooru users are not fond of high-quality FPS games while not having problem at all with "whatever the title is" eroge.
Getting back to the main topic, are SFM content definitely borderline and proscribed?

"3D porn or SFM porn" is right there. I suspect the only reason "porn" is mentioned explicitly is because the authors didn't imagine "game screenshots that aren't even porn" would ever be an issue.

It's really, really not. The fact that they're just game models is super obvious if you just look; there's not a single curved line in that picture. They're all rough polygons.

The same way I view explicit furry content is not the main reason people come to Danbooru, there's already another place for such.

I have no doubt that there are way more people on this site interested in "explicit furry content" than in random video game screenshots. There are 26,056 active furry posts on this site, and only 6,207 3d ones.

Are you actually confused by a piece of bara fetish art being uploaded on a fetish art site while a fashy dogwhistle and propaganda poster failed to get approved? And the last one's just not that good of a drawing; I've seen much better fail to get approved.

edit:

high-quality FPS games

I think most of us love high-quality FPS games; that's why we don't care for COD, lol.

Oh my goodness, thank you pointing it out so users voluntarily kept flagging my posts, eventually increasing deletion ratio even more!

Who cares with the message behind propaganda-style artwork here? Don't let sex appeal cloud up people's judgement. Wish they prioritize G and S rated posts first.

Yikes! It's mind-boggling that those people did not even realize yet, Furrybooru is an actual thing dedicated for them, so they won't mess up this site with their fetishization.

Let's just get this out of the way: insulting and complaining about content you don't like getting approved while your uploads don't is not going to help your case. Just because you don't like furry stuff doesn't mean it can't be high quality, and that's frankly irrelevant to the quality of your own uploads. Pointing fingers saying "but that got approved, why didn't mine?!" will never look good as an argument.

Wish approval algorithm would prefer G or S-rated as the priority over any lewd stuff.

There is no "algorithm." Posts enter the queue in the order they were uploaded, and approval is handled by human beings who approve art they like with a certain quality standard, and they won't see anything they have blacklisted, either. Your unapproved uploads just don't appeal to anybody.

People who aren't fascists.

Don't let sex appeal cloud up people's judgement. Wish they prioritize G and S rated posts first.

There's literally an order of magnitude more rating:sensitive or rating:general than rating:explicit or rating:questionable. But you still have to upload good pics.

so they won't mess up this site with their fetishization.

Said the guy with a blatant authoritarianism fetish.
