See forum #205615. It's just a dumb tag that serves no purpose that's not better covered by other tags. Just search for group sex or gangbang if you want to see a character surrounded by dicks. It's just padding.

It also gets often mixed up with extra penises.

If it is a useless tag for that purpose, maybe a better purpose could be for it to be aliased to extra penises (of course, after the nuke)

What if a picture has multiple penises/boys, but they aren't involved in a sex act? I don't think it's a totally useless tag.

I agree. We are again forgetting that male-on-female sex is not the only content on this site. Just because the intended use case was occurred by a terrible name does not make this concept for a tag useless.

It depends on what you want, but if you're trying to search specifically for non-sexual pics of multiple naked men then this tag is not for you because most results are gangbangs. This kind of padding tag does not help anyone find anything specific because it's applied to any random post with two or more dicks out. Try actually writing a search query using it, and see what you get.

Umm, multiple penises? Seems the tag is working then.

EDIT: I mean, I can see where you are coming from, but IMO, there has to be a better alternative than just nuking the tag entirely.

I can't agree since not every picture where there are multiple penises actually means the picture is depicting sexual activity that you could have found by putting in gangbang or group sex. This is a situation of people just need to read what the tag wiki actually says.

There's always the multiple_boys tag, as this tag would be the most appropriate one for what you are asking for. The multiple_penises tag is either mistagged or redundant for most of these scenarios. The only way I can see it being useful is with the possible exception of a girl being surrounded by floating penises and which the tagger doesn't want to use multiple_boys because they don't see the main body, as I must admit there are many posts like this lying around and which could be a topic of discussion.

To sorta bounce off the above remark by Talulah assumes that the owner of the penises is a boy/is always a boy. This would miss situations of multiple futanari girls.

Then what we need is "surrounded by dicks" or a similarly-named tag, not this joke of a tag. Incidentally that's what this tag was used for originally before it was ruined by people with more pedantry than brain.

I agree to this, and on normal circumstances d I would have said to create alias for that and it's over, but as it is I think the tag cannot be salvaged, as now it looks like it covers all sexual content in which more than one penis is seen.

Well, I'm sorry for tagging posts with multiple penises with, well, multiple penises. Dial back on the hostility, will you? I actually suggested a "surrounded by cocks" tag in the past. If we are to keep the multiple penises tag, having a "surrounded by cocks" tag could be a good way to filter out the usual bukkake/group sex posts. Just my 2 cents.

I was not talking about you. I'm sorry for the outburst, and I apologize if it felt like an attack directed at you. It just that sometimes it feels a certain subset of users is doing all they can to ruin tags for everyone else by using them in the most literal and useless way possible, and we are left to pick up the pieces and fix it afterwards.

"surrounded by cocks" sounds like a good tag to me, for something like post #5778173 but that would be very different than the tag we're talking about since that one very much implies there is some sexual activity about to take place whereas this one is just about there being more than one penis in the picture, like post #5783345.

That's an entirely different concept, which imo should also get its own tag. Something like "penis chart". You can find several under penis chart.
