It's a kind of watch.

It could probably imply wristwatch instead, I'm not aware of other types of smartwatch.

Fair point, edited. Though I wouldn't put it past someone to make a pocket smartwatch someday. :P

Yeah, I suppose there could be some non-write smartwatches in the future, but the tag is small and I couldn't find any counter-example, so we can always remove the implication whenever we get a post like that.
