The problem with this alias is that it will put skirt lift well on the top of the autocomplete list when typing "lif"

It already is cause of a lift skirt alias, which probably also makes this one unnecessary.

remove alias lift_skirt -> skirt_lift
"lift skirt" sounds really weird, if we have to have an alias it should be lifting_skirt (so this request is conditional on the above being approved).

I typed "lifting_skirt" and nothing came up, I had to go back and change it to "skirt_lift" basing on my own assumption. Is there any harm to this?

Why does it always have to be phrased that way? Of course there's no "harm" in it, but that doesn't stop it from being pointless. You didn't get a result because you typed the whole thing without looking at the tag suggestion list, skirt lift is the third in the list with "li" and second with "lif"
It doesn't make much difference to me what happens, but I agree with NNT at least that only one or the other is needed, not both.

Because when someone is lifting their skirt... the phrase is "lifting skirt"... that's why I think this one sounds better than lift_skirt, as NNT said.
