while technically different things, japanese dating sims and VNs look almost identical

lots of VNs include dating sim elements too

Would it be worthwhile making it a subcategory of visual novel and retain the tag for those that also depict things like affection ratings and day/time indicators?

i would be fine with this and changing it to an implication, but im not very familiar with either genre
