So faded brown hair is actually grey? News to me.
Take a look at Watanabe You. Half her posts are tagged grey hair even when her hair is very clearly brown. This is the level of tagging we're dealing with.

- The shiny hair argument is bogus. All anime hair is shiny. How does everyone not know this? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
- There's too much fragmentation in tagging. When I look at white_hair or silver_hair or grey_hair I can't reliably tell which is which. It's common to have characters where the tagging is split 50/50 between silver and grey. It's also common to have two characters with nearly the same hair color, but one is normally tagged grey and the other silver. None of this is based on anything rational, it's just based on whatever the uploader prefers, or whatever related tags tells the uploader to do.
The last is also true for white hair and grey hair.
And will also be once there's a sheen of another color added into it.
This won't solve anything, but I guess it makes people look away from these tags. So instead, the problem will pile up instead of going away.
