Right now catwalk is being used for both that thing models walk down (post #5203670) and narrow walkways with railings (post #5267583). I feel like we should split this up. The former can be catwalk (modeling) (ideally with a runway (modeling) alias), but any suggestions on how to disambiguate the latter?
If it really needs a qualifier, catwalk_(walkway) should be good enough.
Wikipedia classifies them as a type of footbridge, but I disagree with this. Many catwalks are mounted directly to some other solid structure rather than having to support their own weight, so likening them to bridges seems wrong.
catwalk_(fashion) might be a good alternative qualifier to catwalk_(modeling), since the catwalk/runway is a core component of fashion shows. Wikipedia also has the definition for catwalk under the fashion show page

Dictionaries, such as merriam-webster and Oxford agree with referring to catwalks as walkways, especially in an industrial setting.
Okay, catwalk (walkway) sounds good. I'll go through and separate them out soon.
