Obese is just "fatter than fat", I don't think there's any point in these two being mutually exclusive, unlike plump

I think it does make sense to have a tag for extremely fat people. Seems like something that might get blacklisted or fetishised by various people.

That said, the tag seems to have been polluted (mostly by a single user) with a bunch of images of people who are either slightly overweight or just stocky in build...

It's an implication, not an alias, I'm not trying to get rid of either tag. I just don't see why obese shouldn't also be tagged fat.

i think it's for people that want to search fat post, but not obese post. fat is kinda fetish-y, so i don't think it's good to merge them. cmiiw

I swear it was an alias when I looked at it. +1 to the implication - mistags aren't a reason not to.

I see it like this too. Same reason why huge breasts doesn't imply large breasts.
A way to solve it would be to perhaps grade it? Rename fat to overweight, make fat an umbrella tag for overweight and obese.

Sorry, but keeping fat and obese mutually exclusive is retarded. It's ridiculous to ask someone to blacklist both fat and obese so that the small percentage of another small percentage of people can search for "fat but not too fat" with a single tag. Just use fat -obese.
