Maybe we need to use our cute little help wikis to make a howto:pools page. One that specifically states that a pool is not to be used as a favorites list.

Tons of empty pools whose sole existence seems to be to break the pool list. pool #674 , pool #673 , and pool #672 all have ridiculous names (the first is "Help with New Tabs copied over hundreds of lines, while the other two are "Zv" copied over a handful). There's a bunch more blankly named pools by the same fellow, as well, but I can't get their numbers because those long-titled ones are crashing meh machine.
pool #20 is an incomplete and redundant artist pool.
pool #333 having only one post seems to make it rather pointless.
pool #347 contains only a flash which appears irrelevant to the pool description.
pool #457 had three posts which appear to have all been deleted (or aren't visible to me for some reason.) Likewise for pool #562.
pool #510, pool #511, pool #513 - what's with these? Well, I guess they were used to group together twosomes of related images, but I'm of the opinion that a parent/child relation is fine for trivial collections like this (especially if nobody knows the source and the pool title/description can't be used to indicate it.)
pool #565 is empty.

Indeed they're deleted. Removed pool #457. The other is, well, I still wouldn't want to approve it, OTOH, it comes pretty close to some of our howto and learning_to_draw images. I'm torn.

If you could go through those and confirm they're parented, I can remove them.

Those seem like victims of various mishaps we had also noticed on the more popular pools. At least for pool #565, I'm fairly sure I've seen it populated in the past. I'd like to try to restore them to proper working order before deciding they should be killed.

Empty and pointless, duplicates width:125 height:125 and whatnot.

Mysteriously generated manually by me, actually. Because the images involved were linked to each other, and parent/child for non-duplicate posts is deprecated.
May I state again that the pool system needs an overhaul, starting with a clearer vision for what exactly they're supposed to do and how they're supposed to work. We need anonymous pools, for one thing, otherwise getting across the fact that parent/child is deprecated will be very hard. I still see posts that are parented due to continuity rather than duplication. This needs to be stopped.
