Consolidating the Harry Potter copytags

We currently have the following tags:

• Harry Potter intended for the overall series

• Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
• Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
• Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
• Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
• Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
• Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
• Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

• Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery game
• Harry Potter: The Cursed Child play. Official title should be Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

There's also the spinoff series Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

My proposal:

• Alias Harry Potter to Harry Potter (series) and use it as an umbrella tag.
• Unalias Harry Potter. Alias Harry James Potter to Harry Potter. changing Harry Potter to the char tag. Full name would be unnecessary (as is the case for most HP characters other than Albus Severus Potter) and is currently only here to distinguish the character from the series.
• Rename Harry Potter: The Cursed Child to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
• Imply all the Harry Potter books/films and other assorted media to Harry Potter (series).
• Leave Fantastic Beasts untouched for now.

Any suggestions, corrections or additions for the above?

I think it's fine to imply fantastic beasts as well, but everything else sounds good.

Sounds good to me. It was always a bit annoying that you had to tag Harry James Potter for the character.

How should I go about proposing them to avoid accidentally merging the Harry Potter char and copytags? Keep the unalias separate from the rest of the BURs, and only proceed with the Harry_James_Potter -> Harry_Potter alias after the unalias goes through?

First, we would need to rename the copyright tags. After the copytags are organized, we proceed with the Harry Potter character tag alias.

BUR #7939 has been approved by @nonamethanks.

create alias harry_potter -> harry_potter_(series)
rename harry_potter:_the_cursed_child -> harry_potter_and_the_cursed_child

Seems like an agreement in the forum so I will proceed with the BUR. First BUR to alias the series tag and and rename Cursed Child. A second BUR would imply all books to harry_potter_(series) and unalias harry_potter to harry_potter_(series), and a third and final BUR to make harry_potter the character tag.
