The droplet tag says it's ambiguous and should not be used. Likewise the water drop definition is just copypasted from wikipedia and has a similar usage. We don't really need three different tags for the same thing (random water droplets not made of sweat).

I agree with merging them but I'd prefer keeping water drop as it is more clear and consistent with dew drop and sweatdrop.

I agree with this (keeping water drop as the primary tag). I can't imagine how many other types of drops might get conflated that aren't also basically water, but we do have blood drop which feels like a clearly separate concept (and one that doesn't really need droplets as an umbrella tag). "Droplets" as a word would include both. Keeping "water" in the tag name would remind people not to conflate things. If in the future we find drops of another fluid taggable, it could get it's own new separate tag.
