BUR #6153 has been rejected.
create alias medium_dress -> dress
I was under the impression that "medium" was the default size for dress, and indeed we have long dress and short dress for those that are not. A glance at the tag also shows several mistagged short dresses.
Do we need this tag? Putting it up for a vote.
It would need to grow by an extreme amount if kept, given that dress has more than half a million posts.
-1 Many items are undertagged, but that doesn't mean we should get rid of them. Basically with the above, you lose the ability to search for medium dresses. To be honest, if the above gets aliased, then we might as well get rid of long, short, and micro dresses as well. While we're at it, let's get rid of micro, mini, medium, and long skirts. I mean, you can't treat one this way without treating them all the same way. Might as well get rid of medium breasts, medium hair, medium everything. Or really, let's just get rid of all sizes.
I’m not sure I follow.
The point being made is that long, short and micro dresses are of an unusual length, which is why they would warrant their own tags. I could understand wanting to have medium skirt be treated the same way, and can see how this could potentially negatively affect searchability, but I’m genuinely lost on why this should affect the other size tags.
As for hair and breasts, there isn’t really a “default” hair length or boob size, so a medium tags for those would make more sense.
After realizing that we have medium skirt I'm not too sure about this anymore. I'd say the two tags should be tackled together. For now I'll reject this, it can always be resubmitted later on anyway.
